Google Labs has recently appointed a team to do research and development work on Crypto and blockchain research! Google Labs has been known for its support of various new and upcoming technologies.
Shivakumar Venkataraman has been appointed as the head of the research team. He is also the vice president of engineering in Google Labs.
The team which has been chosen to work on the research is smaller if compared to the average size of other teams in Google Labs.
Blockchain technology has proven itself worthy in the past and has shown great potential for development in the future. This technology consists of an extending list of records, also known as 'blocks', interconnected by 'cryptography'.
Bill Ready, the president of commerce at Google, has said that the company would evolve itself around its users and partners. According to him, the company would develop in the direction of the user and merchant demands.
Google has been known for participating in active research and investing in various new technologies like AR, Blockchain, crypto etc.
