Opera has launched a new web3 based web browser with crypto integrations!

'Web3', the technology it is based on, provides a new and decentralized alternative to 'web2', the internet which is currently most in use and is dominated mostly by large companies.

As this web browser is based upon the web3 version of the internet, it would be highly decentralized instead of being dominated by a few big organizations.

Apart from this, the new Opera Browser also comes built-in with a 'crypto wallet'. It would also have a section called 'crypto corner', where important information about various crypto events, podcasts, crypto news and asset prices, airdrops, etc. would be shared.

In the announcement, Opera said, "The Opera Crypto Browser Project is about more than just surfing traditional websites through a one-size-fits-all solution. It is specifically designed to work with a variety of decentralized apps, or dApps, as well as provide deeper functionality than a traditional web browser that has a basic web wallet add-on."

This move isn't the first move made by Opera towards a more decentralized and web3 based approach. Back in 2018, Opera had also added support for a web-based crypto wallet.

Since then the relationship between Opera and web3 has only gotten stronger, with Opera adding more and more web3 components and better integration with cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin.

The Opera Browser is also known for other important security features that are built into its browser like a built-in VPN with a supposed no-log policy, secure clipboard, native ad-blocker, etc.
