The ministers of various state governments in India have asked business tycoon and Tesla CEO Elon Musk to set up Tesla plants in their respective states. This comes after a tweet by Mr. Musk a few days back in which he had responded to another Twitter user asking when was Tesla coming to India.
Responding to that tweet, Elon had said that he was still working through a lot of challenges with the Government of India.
Mr. KT Rama Rao, the Industry and Commerce Minister of the state of Telangana replied to Musk's tweet, saying that he will be "happy to partner Tesla in working through the challenges to set shop in India/Telangana". He then went on to praise his state for being a "champion in sustainability initiatives" and a "top-notch business destination" in India.
Md Ghulam Rabbani, the minister for minority affairs and Madrasah Education in the Government of West Bengal also replied to Mr. Musk, asking him to come to West Bengal as according to him, they have the "best infra" and that their chief minister "has got the vision". He ended his tweet by saying "Bengal means Business".
