ISRO has successfully launched PSLV-C52 carrying 3 satellites of paramount importance

One of the satellites launched on PSLV-C52, namely the INSAT-2DT, holds a special position as it is a precursor to an upcoming India-Bhutan joint mission.

The ISRO chief S Somnath formally announced shortly after the success of the mission that the mission of PSLV-C52 has been successfully accomplished.

ISRO also received warm congratulations from Mr. Narendra Modi, the Prime Minister of India. The Prime Minister congratulated ISRO saying, "Congratulations to our space scientists on the successful launch of the PSLV-C52 mission. EOS-04 satellite will provide high-resolution images under all weather conditions for agriculture, forestry and plantations, soil moisture and hydrology as well as flood mapping."

The EOS-04, which is also known as Radar Imaging Satellite (RISAT), will be a major help to various sectors in our country. It is capable of providing very high-quality images in the fields of hydrology, agriculture, forestry, plantations, etc.

It will also take the observations of satellites like RISAT-2B, Caetosat, and Resourcesat and take them to completion. The operating life of this satellite is about a decade.

The student satellite INSPIRESat-1 has the aim to improve our knowledge of the Sun's coronal heating process and ionosphere dynamics. It is built by the Indian Institute of Space Science & Technology, in collaboration with the Laboratory of Atmospheric & Space Physics at the University of Colorado.
