Microsoft Edge releases the latest update with improved features!

Microsoft has released the latest version of its built-in web browser Microsoft Edge. This update is called Edge version 98.0.1108.43 and contains lots of minor as well as major updates in security, performance, as well as look and feel.

A new "Enhanced Security Mode" has been added which acts as an extra layer of protection for the users.

In a blog, Microsoft said that group policies can now be applied to end-user desktops by the Administrators. This feature will be available in all the major operating systems such as Windows, Mac OS, and Linux.

This new feature would also help to tackle zero-day exploits, which are one of the most dreaded forms of exploit, and must be incapacitated immediately.

Apart from these security features, users can now create a customized list of sites for automatic profile switching. This would make the multi-profile experience of the users highly customizable.

A three-digit version number, such as "Edg/100", will be sent in the User-Agent header by Microsoft Edge. This will be implemented from version 100 of the browser.

Microsoft has also started testing the Windows 11 overlay style in Microsoft Edge. Users can enable this by going to "Edge://flags" from the address bar, searching for "Windows style overlay scrollbars" in the "Search flags" box, enabling it, and restarting the browser.

This would bring the Windows 11 styled scrollbar in Microsoft Edge, regardless of the OS you are on. This can be reverted by going back and disabling the same flag.
